Sullivan named to BSN All-America Team

Kolin Sullivan
GAMBIER, Ohio – Kenyon College junior linebacker Kolin Sullivan was one of 35 players named an honorable mention on the 2012 Beyond Sports Network (BSN) All-America team.

Sullivan's play helped the Lords move from a winless season in 2011 to a 6-4 mark in 2012. He not only led Kenyon, but all players in the North Coast Athletic Conference, with a total of 108 tackles. His average of 10.8 tackles per game was tied for the 25th-best among all players participating in NCAA Division III football.

Sullivan also had two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two-and-a-half quarterback sacks. Twenty of Sullivan's 108 tackles occurred behind the line of scrimmage. That total was just a half tackle shy of Kenyon's single-season record set by Darren Harris in 1991.

Also named to the 2012 All-NCAC first team at the conclusion of the season, Sullivan played a huge role in the improvement of the Kenyon defense, which held opponents to averages of 18 points and 306 yards per game. The previous season's defense yielded averages of 36 points and 458 yards per game.
