INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Committee announced Monday the field of 61 teams for the 2014 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship, which begins Thursday and concludes with the national championship December 6. Upon the release, the Kenyon College Lords found out they would be host to first- and second-round games.

The Lords, who enter the tournament with a 17-1-1 record, will play Heidleberg University (13-6-3) on Saturday at 11 a.m. Following that game, North Park University (13-5-1) and Thomas More College (17-2-1) will battle at 1:30 p.m. The winners of those game will then meet at 1 p.m. Sunday for the right to advance to the NCAA sectional round. All three games will be played at Mavec Field.

Kenyon is making its 11th overall and second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Last season, the Lords knocked off Ohio North University and Wheaton College before being eliminated by eventual national champion Messiah College. Ranked No. 5 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll, Kenyon earned its way into this year's tournament by grabbing the North Coast Athletic Conference's automatic bit with a 2-1 overtime victory against Ohio Wesleyan University in the conference's tournament finale.

Heidelberg, the Lords' first-round opponent, made its way into the dance by winning the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament. The Student Princes, winners of their last six contests, claimed a 5-4 win over No. 15-ranked John Carroll University in that tournament's championship game.

Kenyon and Heidelberg played earlier this season with the Lords taking a 2-1 road victory back on September 7.

North Park is making its sixth tournament appearance since 2005 and this season claimed a second-place finish in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Vikings, ranked No. 23, were one of 18 teams to receive an at-large bid for Pool C teams, which includes institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that did not win their conference championship.

Finally, Thomas More enters tournament play as the winner of the Presidents' Athletic Conference regular season and tournament titles. The Saints have played in the previous six consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Last season they dropped a 2-1 first-round decision at Wheaton. Currently, Thomas More has won eight in a row and is undefeated in its last 14 contests.

Kenyon will provide live video/audio coverage as well as live stats for all three games.
