Maria Zarka won the one-meter diving event Friday night. It was her first national title
in that event. She has now claimed three titles, with the two others being in the

Emory University (Ga.) maintained its first-place grip while Denison University remained in second. Holding steady in third place was Williams College.

Maria Zarka highlighted the night for Kenyon.
The Kanoehe, Hawaii native had come close the previous two years to winning the one-meter diving event but broke through this year as she totaled 477.08 points over 11 dives to win her first national championship in that event.
Kenyon started the evening session with the 200-yard butterfly event. Freshman 
Kanchi Desai had the top finish as she won the consolation final in 2:02.31. 
Hannah Cooper placed 13th in the same event.
The 100-yard backstroke followed and 
Celia Oberholzer earned another All-American finish as she touched the wall in 55.65, good for seventh place.
Julia Wilson was the Ladies' second consolation winner of the night as she finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a team-best time of 1:02.74. 
Katie Kaestner followed two spots later in 11th to claim her 13th All-American honor.
The session ended with the 800-yard freestyle relay.

Mariah Williamson, 
Alexa Korsberg, and Desai finished in 10th with a time of 7:30.80.
Tomorrow is the final day of the NCAA Championships. Preliminary heats begin at 11 a.m. followed by the finals at 7 p.m.
