The most decorated female tennis player in the history of Kenyon, Caryn Cuthbert graduated as a seven-time All-American and a national champion. She began her career with the 1997 ITA Midwest Rookie of the Year award and earned the first of three NCAC Player of the Year awards. As a sophomore, Cuthbert paired with Erin Hockman to win the NCAA Division III Doubles Championship. That same year, she placed runner-up in the Singles Championship and in 1999 she and Hockman were NCAA runners-up in doubles. Her efforts lifted the Ladies to a national team championship in 1997 and her 90 singles-match victories are still a College record.
