One of the pioneers of Kenyon swimming, he participated in the first three Ohio Athletic Conference Championships and went on to win eight event titles over the course of his career. A sprinter, Eagon led the Lords to a second-place OAC showing in 1937 and then captained the 1938 swim team that was a perfect 11-0 and went on to claim Kenyon's first-ever conference team title.
