One of Kenyon's true multisport standouts, Joe Pavlovich earned six varsity letters, three each in baseball and soccer. He established himself as one of the Lords' all-time great pitchers and still holds the College record for strikeouts in a season (102 in 1951), and ranks among the career leaders in earned run average (2.06) and strikeouts (215). On the soccer field, Pavlovich became one of Kenyon's earliest All-Americans in 1952, the same year in which he was invited to try out for the US Olympic team.
