A 28-time All-American, Patty Abt ranks as one of the first female superstars in Kenyon athletics history. The College's most prolific female swimmer from 1983 through 1987, Abt was instrumental in guiding the Ladies to four-straight national championships, the first four of the Ladies 17-straight national titles. During her career, Abt won 23 of the 28 races she swam at the NCAA Division III Championships and set records in 21. She was also the first Kenyon swimmer, male or female, to win the national title in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle four-consecutive years.
