Tim Appleton graduated from Kenyon in 1977 as one of only three Lord basketball players to surpass 2,000 career points. As a senior, his 24.1 scoring average ranked 15th in the nation. Recognition was widespread for the scoring ace and included All-America honors and first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selections in three-straight seasons, and a first-team Academic All-America distinction in 1977.
