At the 1980 national championship meet, Tim Glasser won the 100- and 200-yard butterfly titles, the 500-yard freestyle crown, and contributed to Kenyon's record-setting effort in the victorious 800-yard freestyle relay. His efforts helped lead the Lords to their first national crown and earned him recognition in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" feature. The first Division III swimmer to record a time under 51.0 in the 100-yard butterfly, Glasser wrapped up his career with 22 All-America accolades and seven NCAA event championships.
