GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College women's swimming and diving team was anything but a gracious host to the trio of teams that traveled to Gambier for a quad meet Saturday afternoon. The Ladies swept their three competitors out of the Kenyon Aquatic Center to improve their head-to-head record to 4-3 for the season.

When the final results were tabulated, the Ladies edged Grove City College, 155-132, bested Case Western Reserve University, 163-132, and topped Gannon University, 163-113.

Senior Kiersten Bell  sophomore Celia Oberholzer and freshman Maria Zarka all gave Kenyon a pair of individual victories at the meet. Bell was the first to the wall in the 500- (5:10.68) and 1,000-yard (10:38.76) freestyles, Oberholzer took both the 100- (59.07) and 200-yard (2:08.12) backstrokes, and Zarka was the top diver on the one- (266.15 pts.) and three-meter (264.30 pts.) boards.

The Ladies also benefited from wins by sophomore Hailey Schneider in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:29.79) and the 200-yard medley relay. Seniors Anna Connolly and Kate Haller, junior Rachel Flinn and freshman Megan Morris combined to stop the clock at 1:50.31 in the first event of the meet.
Haller further bolstered Kenyon's cause with runner-up showings in the 100 back (59.10) and the 50 freestyle (24.96). Morris placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a 1:00.16 effort.

After the busy weekend which saw half of the team travel to Northwestern University's TYR Invitational, the Ladies will reunite to host the annual TPSC Invitational November 29th through December 1st in the Kenyon Aquatic Center.
