Kenyon College has a long history of athletic participation and achievement, dating back to 1859, when the College's first baseball team was formed. Today, sports--whether varsity athletics, or club, intramural, or recreational sports--remain an important part of the Kenyon experience. Approximately 30 percent of Kenyon's student body participates in varsity athletics and/or intramural competition.
Student-athletes compete in top-notch facilities, including the Lowry Center, which measures 263,000 square feet and provides state-of-the-art resources for both the serious varsity athlete and the weekend recreational athlete.
