HIRAM, Ohio – The Kenyon College women's basketball team scored the first 11 points Saturday at Hiram College and never looked back. The Ladies led the Terriers by as many as 24 points before eventually triumphing, 58-42, for their sixth-straight victory.

Junior Maureen Hirt fueled Kenyon's fast start with five of her game-high 14 points. She also added four rebounds and three assists to her full afternoon. Senior Kayla Ernst pumped in 12 points and led all rebounders with six caroms. Junior Maggie Boelter gave the Ladies (8-1, 2-0 North Coast Athletic Conference) three scorers in double digits with a ten-point effort. Boelter connected on 3-of-5 three-pointers, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists in the contest.

Despite the balanced offensive showing, the Kenyon defense set the tone for the win. The Ladies forced Hiram into 20 turnovers on the afternoon to go along with a 15-of-50 (30.0 percent) showing from the floor. The 42 points allowed matched Kenyon's season low.

The win over the Terriers (3-5, 0-3 NCAC) will be the Ladies' final action for nearly three weeks. The next time Kenyon hits the hardwood, it will be in Orlando, Florida at the Land of Magic Classic December 28-29.
