GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Kenyon College women's swimming and diving team got three event wins from sophomore Crile Hart and two more from senior Abby Wilson, but that wasn't enough to get the Ladies past the host Denison University Big Red, which won Saturday's dual meet, 168-132.

All three of Hart's wins came in NCAA 'B' cut times. She swept the backstroke events, taking the 100-yard race in 55.83 and the 200-yard race in 2:02.26. Later in the meet, she posted a winning time of 2:02.57 in the 200-yard individual medley.

Hart's efforts were bolstered by Wilson, who claimed her wins in sprint events. She recorded her first victory in the 50-yard free by finishing in 23.95, just ahead of teammate and sophomore Celina German, who took second in 53.76. Later, she came out on top in the 100-yard freestyle, turning in a time of 51.75, which cleared another NCAA 'B' cut.

The Ladies had two other individual winners in swimming events. Junior Kendall Vanderhoof logged a time of 5:10.47 to take the 500-yard freestyle. Earlier, she placed second in the 200-yard freestyle by clocking in at 1:53.80. She was beat to wall by teammate and senior Hannah Orbach-Mandel, who nailed down first place with a time of 1:53.51.

At the diving well, Kenyon senior Madeline Carlson helped the Kenyon cause. She won the three-meter competition with a score of 231.23 and also placed third in the one-meter competition, scoring a 233.85.

The Ladies ended the dual meet with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Wilson and Orbach-Mandel teamed with sophomores Emmerson Mirus and Caylee Hamilton to register a time of 1:36.31.

The Ladies will return to action in five days, when they head to Columbus to participate in the three-day Ohio State University Invitational.
