United Soccer Coaches Poll
KANSAS CITY, Mo. –The Kenyon men's soccer team found itself ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Division III Preseason Poll this week checking in at No. 22 with the 2018 season approaching.
A year ago, the Lords posted a 16-3-3 record, won the North Coast Athletic Conference during the regular season and advanced into the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Despite some key departures, including
Henry Myers,
Woo Jeon,
Oliver Wynn and
Alberto Carmona, Kenyon's roster will still have plenty of talent.
Seniors
Bret Lowry,
Brice Koval,
David Anderson and
Greg McNeer will be counted on along with junior
John Penas who had an outstanding spring. Second-year players
Collyn Carpenter,
Sam Hosmer-Quint and goalie
Ian McInturf are expected to contribute as well. Additionally, the return of forward Philippe Stengel should boost the Lords' efforts on the attack.
Kenyon's season begins on August 31 at Mavec Field when 24th-ranked John Carroll University pays a visit.
