ASHLAND, Ohio – In addition to a pair of event wins from both Scout Wilkins and Maggie Foight, the Kenyon College women's swimming and diving team claimed victory in the 400-yard freestyle relay, the last event on Saturday's slate, to ring up a 115-114 dual-meet win against the host Ashland University Eagles.

Trailing 108-104, the Ladies lined up a 400-yard freestyle relay team of Princess Vilan Ferguson-Nguyen, Natalie Bresnahan, Ciara Mulcahy and Myanna Cook. That quartet got to the finish in 3:45.79 and scored 11 team points, enough to outweigh the six points Ashland tallied for taking both second and third place.

The one-point team win evened out the Ladies' dual-meet record at 4-4.

Prior to Kenyon's rally in the final relay, the stage was set by results from Wilkins and Foight. Wilkins, a senior, swept the distance events. She started her day by winning the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:57.89 and later registered a winning time of 5:22.59 in the 500-yard freestyle. Foight, a freshman, was victorious in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 2:16.01. Later, she won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:30.08.

In the 13 events contested on Saturday's schedule, Kenyon won seven. The Ladies' other two event wins came from seniors Julia Green and Bresnahan. Green turned in a 2:02.80 to take the 200-yard freestyle. Bresnahan then posted a time of 57.41 to win the 100-yard freestyle.

In diving competition, Kenyon senior Maddie Lockyer finished second on the one-meter board, with a score of 205.20, and third on the three-meter board, with a score of 198.22.

Kenyon now faces a long break and will not compete again until January 31, when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan University in a dual meet scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
