ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Kenyon College women's tennis team got its spring-break schedule started Wednesday morning with a 6-3 victory over Haverford College in neutral-site play at the USTA National Campus.

The Owls gave themselves a running start by sweeping doubles play. Lalasa Nagireddy and Natalie Connelly put up the most convincing win, taking the No. 3 doubles bout by an 8-4 final over Haverford's pairing of Abhishree Menon and Summer Williams.

In the other two doubles matches, both Kenyon teams won a tiebreaker to take the match. At No. 1, Eleni Lazaridou and Eleni Dakos held on for an 8-7 (8-6) win, while at No. 2, Erika Pontillo and Allaire Berl claimed an 8-7 (7-5) victory.

When singles play commenced, the teams split the six matches. Kenyon got another win from Connelly at No. 7. She topped Sriya Krishnan 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
