Decorated debut continues, Commandeur earns All-Ohio honor

GAMBIER, Ohio – First-year defender Jack Commandeur continues to add to an already impressive debut season after earning a spot on the 2026 OCSA NCAA Men's Division III All-Ohio Second Team, as announced by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association.

Commandeur was one of 12 players named to the Division III Second Team and the lone representative from Kenyon College.

The All-Ohio recognition adds to a growing list of postseason accolades for Commandeur, who was previously named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year, earned First Team All-NCAC honors, and was selected to the NCAC All-Tournament Team. He also picked up regional recognition earlier this postseason with a Second Team United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region VII selection.

A brick wall in the back line, Commandeur appeared in all 18 matches during the 2025 season and moved into the starting lineup for the final nine contests. He helped anchor a defense that limited opponents to 1.00 goals per game while recording six clean sheets, playing a key role in the Owls' 7-4-7 overall record and 3-2-3 mark in NCAC play.

Despite his defensive responsibilities, Commandeur emerged as one of Kenyon's most dangerous offensive weapons. His size, timing, and aerial ability made him a threat on set pieces, resulting in a team-high six goals and 13 points.

The All-Ohio honor further cements Commandeur's breakout freshman season and positions him as a cornerstone of the Owls' back line heading into the future.
