Kenyon in fifth heading into NCAA’s final day

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 200 medley and 800 freestyle relay teams turned in the Kenyon College men's swimming and diving team's two podium finishes on Friday night at the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championship. 

After three days of competition, the Owls earned 234 points and sit in fifth place headed into the final evening. 

The 200 relay was the first event of the night for Kenyon, and the team of Peter Dunson, Noel Tumbasz, Roman Savage and Djordje Dragojlovic combined for a 1:27.08 third place finish. The time was a season best for the Owls and earned the quartet first team All-American honors. 

In the final event of the evening, the 800 freestyle relay, Dragojlovic, Savage, Teo Jaworski and Ethan Manske sped to a 6:27.66 mark to give the team four more All-American spots. The time was also the Owls' fastest of the season by nearly seven seconds. 

The team's other first team All-American spot for the night went to Chase Smith in the one meter dive. He amassed 474.45 points to earn six place and close the championship strong. 

Kenyon also earned two second team All-American spots in the 200 butterfly and the 100 breaststroke. Tumbasz took seventh in his consolation heat with a 54.95 mark, while Maske bested his fastest time of the season with a 1:47.85 time to take fourth in the consolation heat. 

Denison remains at the top of the team leaderboard with 313.5 points, while New York University is not far behind at 283. Chicago (265) and Emory (240) are slotted ahead of Kenyon to round out the top five, who are over 60 points clear of the rest of the pack. 

Preliminaries for the final day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championship will begin at 10 a.m. with finals starting at 6 p.m.
