CLEVELAND -- A record total of 1,456 student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll following the completion of the academic year. Included in that total were 185 student-athletes from Kenyon College.
Kenyon's total of 185 honorees was 20 more than last year's total and is the Owls' second largest total since the Honor Roll's launch in the 2013-14 academic year.
The honorees were selected from all nine full-time NCAC institutions and three affiliate members. Each full-time institution had at least 89 student-athletes named to the Honor Roll with an average of 159 student-athletes per institution.
To be honored, a student-athlete had to be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and had to hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. Eligible honorees were submitted by each institution.
The 1,456 student-athletes on the list accounted for 1,603 total roster spots, which takes into consideration multi-sport student-athletes.
Overall, football led the way for the second time, and for the first time since 2022-23, recording 138 honorees, which is the highest total by any sport in the 13-year history of the award. Women's track and field ranked second with 136 honorees, marking its 12th top-two finish, while baseball followed with 116 representatives, placing among the top five for the sixth-consecutive year. Men's track and field collected 112 honorees to rank fourth, earning a top-five finish for the fourth-straight year and 12th time overall. Women's soccer rounded out the top five with 109 honorees, making its 11th appearance among the top five.
The 2025-26 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll class features seven graduate students, 483 seniors, 453 juniors and 513 sophomores.
