All users must have a valid Kenyon College ID. A processing fee will be charged for the replacement of lost ID cards.
General guidelines
- Users of the building must have a Kenyon ID.
- Individuals using the facilities do so at their own risk.
- Proper footwear and attire are required at all times. Shoes should be clean and non-marking.
- All personal items should be stored securely in lockers.
- Kenyon is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Food and beverages (other than water bottles) are not permitted in recreational areas.
- Bikes, inline skates, and skateboards are not allowed in the building.
- Pets are not allowed in the building.
- Basketball dunking is not permitted in recreational areas.
- Individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that will not detract from the enjoyment of others using the facility. Destructive behavior and profanity are considered inappropriate.
- Individuals abusing basic rules will be asked to leave. Continued abuse will result in suspension from further use of the building.

After-hours entry
Only approved full- or part-time staff who have offices in the Lowry Center are permitted in the facility outside of posted operating hours. With the permission of the director, programs may be permitted to use the building outside of standard operating hours. An approved Lowry Center staff member will supervise the facility at such times.

Alcoholic beverages
Individuals suspected of consuming alcohol prior to entering the Lowry Center may be refused entry or asked to leave. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Lowry Center, except with permission of the director during special pre-approved events only.

Clothing
Proper attire will be expected at all times when using the facility. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times.

Conduct
Users engaged in unsafe activity or any behavior deemed to be inappropriate by the Lowry Center staff may have their access to the facilities revoked or modified and may be subject to College disciplinary action.

Equipment issue
Staff at the information desk will issue recreational equipment to individuals, who must leave their ID cards at the desk while using the equipment. The types and quantities of equipment are limited.

Footwear
Clean, non-marking shoes are required on all wood surfaces, on the track and tennis courts, and in the weight room. Individuals may not wear cleats in the building. Bare feet are permitted only in the locker rooms and pool and during specific activities such as yoga, dance, and martial arts.

Locker rooms
Locker rooms and showers will be available for general use during hours of operation. Lowry Center users may make temporary use of a locker but must bring their own lock and must empty the locker when leaving the facility. Towels will not be provided.

Lost and found
Lost items will be kept at the information desk. Lost keys will be given to the Kenyon security office.

Parking
All parking for the facility is at the south end of the Lowry Center and in accordance with College parking rules and regulations. Overnight parking is prohibited.

Private or commercial use
The Lowry Center may not be used for private or commercial purposes. Prohibited uses include unauthorized private instruction in the pool or on the courts and advertising or solicitation not approved by the College. Special fees and a College special event contract are required for any outside parties wishing to rent the facility.

Recreational activities
Organized recreational and intramural activities are planned by the Lowry Center staff. Schedules for activities such as aerobics, yoga, and intramurals will be posted.

Smoking
The Lowry Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is strictly prohibited within the facility, including the restrooms.
