Kelsey Shewbridge was hired as the Ladies assistant coach in June of 2018. She joined the staff after serving two seasons as a volunteer assistant at John Carroll University, where she gained her master’s degree in English. As a part of the Blue Streaks coaching staff she focused on teaching defensive skills and strategies. She helped implement practice plans, evaluated player performances, assisted in recruitment and analyzed game film.
Prior to her work at John Carroll, Shewbridge played four seasons of lacrosse at The University of Mount Union, where she graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in English. During her time there, the Purple Raiders won three consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference championships and made three appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament. She was recognized three times as an All-OAC player, three times as an Academic All-OAC honoree and as an IWLCA All-Great Lakes Region selection at the conclusion of her senior season.
