Hired in August of 2025, Sean Dale joined the Kenyon College coaching staff as an assistant with experience coaching the game on multiple continents.
In his first season in Gambier Dale assisted Sarah McClellan in helping the team post a 9-4-5 record, qualifying for the NCAC postseason tournament, and setting multiple team single-season records, including fewest goals allowed (9), best goals against average (0.50), and most shutouts (11). Four players from the 2025 team were named all-conference, two were named both all-Ohio and all-region honorees. During this season the coaching staff were also named the NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
Dale has worked for Licking County Football Club since 2013, where he is the Director of Recreational Soccer, Assistant Director of the Union Club Soccer program and is also a Director of Coaching for the club. Dale has also worked with ODP (Olympic Development Program) as part of their coaching staff with the Ohio Soccer Association.
Before this Dale worked for Challenger Sports as an Academy Soccer Coach traveling and working in 9 different US states with all levels of soccer players.
From 2008 to 2012, Dale worked with the Manchester United Foundation and Macclesfield FC working with their youth soccer programs.
Dale earned a bachelor's degree in coaching and sports development from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012.
