Haley Mitchell

The Kenyon College women's swimming and diving program welcomes back Haley Mitchell, who is now in her third season on the Ladies' staff. Mitchell arrived on campus after volunteering as an assistant coach at The Ohio State University, her alma mater, during the 2010-11 season.

A senior captain at Ohio State during the 2009-10 season, Mitchell entered the collegiate coaching ranks after a successful four-year career with the Buckeyes. She helped set varsity records in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays and was a four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete. She also was named an Academic All-Big Ten selection her final three seasons in Columbus.

Mitchell's accomplishments in the pool enabled her to qualify for USA Swimming's 2010 Senior Nationals in the 200-yard backstroke. In 2009, she was selected to compete for Team USA at the World Maccabiah Games in Israel at which she won four gold medals and one silver.

In addition to her time spent working with the Buckeyes varsity team, Mitchell's coaching resume is bolstered by a stint as the Platinum level head coach for the Ohio State Swim Club during the 2010-11 season. Mitchell also served as an instructor at the Ohio State swim camp in 2009 and with the National Youth Sports Program in 2007-08.

The Walled Lake, Michigan native received her bachelor of science in business administration from the Ohio State Fisher College of Business in June 2010.

Since arriving on campus, Mitchell helped steer the Ladies to a runner-up finish at the 2013 NCAA Championship and a fourth-place finish at the 2012 NCAA Championship.
