The 2024 season will be the fourth for Blake Cattrell as an assistant coach at Kenyon. During his time at Kenyon, Cattrell's duties have included working with members of the Owls offensive line, serving as the team's director of football operations, and spending a season as Kenyon's recruiting coordinator. The 2024 campaign will be his second season as Kenyon's offensive coordinator.

For six seasons before coming to Gambier, Cattrell worked with the offensive line and tight ends at Taylor University, an NAIA institution in Upland, Indiana. His duties there also included working as the team’s video coordinator and recruiting coordinator.

Cattrell is a 2013 graduate of Taylor, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology education. He was a four-year letterwinner as an offensive lineman with the Trojans program and was selected to participate in the 2012 Ohio College Football Senior Bowl.

After graduating from Taylor, Cattrell went to serve on staff at Culver-Stockton College, before spending the 2014 season working with the offensive line and running backs at Kentucky Christian University.

Following the 2014 season at KCU, Cattrell, a native of Westerville, Ohio was selected to coach in the NCAA Division II vs. NAIA All-Star Game, where he served as the special teams coordinator and offensive line coach.
