Kaz Hirano

Joining the Kenyon staff in January of 2023, Kaz Hirano was hired as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. He currently serves as the primary contact for the Owls women’s soccer, women’s basketball, softball, cross country and track and field teams.

Hirano earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Lebanon Valley College, where he remained to gain his master’s degree in athletic training.

A native of Japan who moved to the U.S. to attend high school, Hirano worked briefly at Faith Christian Academy, his alma mater, before taking on duties at Kenyon. At Faith Christian he served as the weight room coach, the assistant coach for the varsity boys soccer team and the head coach for the junior varsity boys soccer team.   

He has been a member of both the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2022.
