Nick Barrows joined the Kenyon College coaching staff in the summer of 2026, after spending the last five years at NCAA Division I Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

At Miami, Barrows was a four-year member of the RedHakws swimming and diving program and was a three-time Academic All-Mid-America Conference honoree and one-time member of the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Team. He graduated in 2025 with a degree in psychology and stayed another year to earn his master’s degree in sport leadership and management.

During his postgraduate studies, Barrows served as a graduate assistant coach on the Miami staff for the 2025-26 season, working mainly with distance swimmers. He also worked as a mental performance intern, providing mental skills to Miami student-athletes in one-on-one sessions.

A native of Williamsburg, Virginia, Barrows got started in coaching during summers away from Miami, returning home to serve as the head swim coach at Colony Pool.
