Returning to Gambier in the summer of 2026, Rantz Karousis joined the Kenyon coaching staff as an Assistant Field Hockey coach with over a decade of collegiate, scholastic, and club field hockey coaching experience.

Over the last three years, Karousis was the Head Field Hockey coach at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio. During that time, Karousis helped guide the Braves to a combined, overall record of 33-26. He was instrumental in the 2024-25 team that was ranked No. 9 in the state!

For the past 9 years, Karousis has been an owner and coach at Frontier Field Hockey, a youth organization focused on building fundamental field hockey skills in a competitive and positive environment. There, he got experience coordinating clubs teams that compete at regional and national levels in both outdoor and indoor facilities. 

Karousis’ resume also includes a year of collegiate coaching experience at Kenyon College during the 2021-22 season where he assisted in practice plans, film review, and gameday planning.

A 2011 graduate of Youngstown State University, Karousis possesses a Bachelor’s degree in education.
