Kenyon College Athletics

Taryn Sharp

Hired in September of 2022, Taryn Sharp joined the Kenyon College athletics staff as an assistant coach for both the Owls men’s and women’s track and field programs.

Sharp came to Kenyon after working as a graduate assistant for track and field at Capital University, an NCAA Division III institution in Bexley, Ohio. During that time, she designed, coordinated and carried out workout plans for throwers and hurdlers. She taught technique and mental preparedness.

Prior to her time at Capital, Sharp worked at nearby Mount Vernon Nazarene University for the 2018-19 season. While there, she was an assistant coach who focused on the development of the program’s sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers.

During her own days of collegiate competition, Sharp competed in multiple events for the Pioneers of Malone University. While taking on duties of a sprinter, jumper and thrower, Sharp collected conference and national academic awards.

She graduated magna cum laude from Malone in 2018 with a degree in exercise physiology, with a concentration in athletics coaching, athletics training and personal training.
