GAMBIER, Ohio – Allegheny College (13-6, 6-4 NCAC) rallied from a small halftime deficit to defeat Kenyon College (6-13, 4-7 NCAC) 66-61 Saturday afternoon in a North Coast Athletic Conference women's basketball game at Tomsich Arena.
The Gators were led by Emma Pellicano's game-high 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Kendall Hoffman added 14 points including hitting 3-of-4 from three-point range. Rounding out Allegheny's double-figure scoring efforts was Ifeyinwa Uwazie who tallied 11 points.

Griffin Tullis led her team with 11 points while
Sarah Hobbs added 10 points, grabbed a team-high six rebounds, and collected four steals.
Avery Anderson chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and two steals.
Miranda Diesz came off the bench and contributed seven points, four rebounds, and three steals.
In the first half, the Gators jumped out to a 10-4 lead following a jumper from Pellicano.
The Ladies fought back to gain a one-point advantage (16-15) with 12 minutes left after Diesz nailed a jumper from the left wing.
Later, with Kenyon leading 27-26, a 7-1 run from the Ladies gave them their biggest lead, 34-27, following a Tullis fast-break layup with 2:12 left. Allegheny cut that deficit to three (35-32) after Pellicano sunk a three-ball with four seconds left.
The Ladies held their lead nearly nine minutes into the second half before the Gators tied it at 45 following a Hoffman jumper.
From the 11:36 mark to just under two minutes remaining, both teams went back forth. There were three ties and two lead changes.
Tullis' three-pointer with 3:47 left gave Kenyon a 61-59 lead. As it turned out, it was Kenyon's final lead of the game.
The Gators reeled off the next seven points and prevailed 66-61.
Allegheny outscored Kenyon 26-20 in the paint while the Ladies' bench outscored the Gators' 22-16. The tight contest featured five ties and nine lead changes.
Kenyon will look to rebound February 7 when they visit Ohio Wesleyan University (9-11, 5-6 NCAC) for a 1 p.m. game.
