GAMBIER, Ohio – Kenyon College (13-7, 3-1 NCAC) swept a North Coast Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader over Hiram College (5-14, 1-3 NCAC) Tuesday afternoon at McCloskey Field. The Lords earned a 7-2 victory in game one before rolling 11-1 in the second contest.
GAME ONE Jake Dunn went 3-for-3 and his double in the bottom of the fifth set a new Kenyon career record as he passed Matt Marcinczyk '06 with his 51st two-bagger.

The Lords pushed three more runs across in the bottom of the third as Dunn singled through the right side allowing
John Nahra to score. In the next at-bat
Kyle Hardacker roped a triple to right center adding another run. The three-run third for Kenyon was capped off by
Andrew Petersdorf's sacrifice fly to center field.
Hiram cut into the 5-0 deficit in the fifth with a pair of unearned runs. Phil Ward struck out but the throw to first from Kenyon's catcher hit him in the helmet and allowed Jeff Segal and Jaren Bell to score.
Leading 5-2, the Lords tacked on two more runs on a
Phillip Nam RBI single in the fifth and a Von Roemer sacrifice fly in the sixth.
The Terriers were held in check on the offensive end during the seven-inning game by pitcher
Paul Henshaw (4-1). The junior scattered six hits, struck out five batters, and allowed no earned runs.
Four different Lords recorded multiple hits as Dunn led the bunch with three hits. His double in the. Nam drove in a team-high three runs.
GAME TWO Ward got things going for the Terriers in the top of the first as he drove in Bell with a single to right center.
After that though, Hiram was shut down by the Lords' staff, led by
Tim Krahn (3-1).
Krahn limited the Terriers to six hits in seven innings pitched while also fanning seven batters. From the second to the seventh, he allowed just two Hiram base-runners to reach scoring position.
With the pitching and defense getting it done, Kenyon's offense rebounded from a slow start to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third.
Tyler Roldan got the Lords' first run of the game on a passed ball and three batters later, Nam singled along the infield to drive in Roldan.
With a 2-1 advantage, Kenyon returned in the bottom of the fourth and put the game away in convincing fashion.
Jono Chafe and
Max Warren each singled to start the frame. Then,
Max Heldman recorded his first career home run with a three-run shot to right center pushing the Lords ahead 5-1. Three batters later, Dunn tripled allowing Von Roemer to cross home.
The Lords received four more run-scoring hits in the inning on a pair of singles from Hardacker and Petersdorf, and doubles from Warren and Von Roemer. By the end of the fourth, Kenyon had sent 14 batters into the box, and collected nine runs on 11 hits and led 11-1.
The 11-1 score remained the same for the rest of the game.
Kenyon's offense tied a season high with 17 total hits against Hiram in game two. Warren went 3-for-4 while Nam and Petersdorf also collected two hits each.
Next up for the Lords is a conference doubleheader April 4 at home against College of Wooster (14-2, 3-1 NCAC) starting at 1 p.m.
Jake Dunn hit his 51st career double Tuesday afternoon against Hiram and became the Kenyon record-holder
passing Matt Marcinczyk '06. The Lords swept the Terriers and improved to 13-7 on the season.
