Ladies' offense shines in win at Hiram

HIRAM, Ohio – Kat Englert scored seven times as Kenyon College (9-4, 4-3 NCAC) won by an 18-3 count over Hiram College Wednesday evening in a North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game.

The Ladies' offense wasn't stopped as it out-shot Hiram's 35-11 with 23 of those attempts coming on goal.

Just 50 seconds into the contest Englert tallied her 53rd goal of the year to put the Ladies up 1-0. The freshman from Centennial, Colo., scored the first four goals for Kenyon who led by a 13-0 count at the break.  Charley Myers found the back of the pipes with a little over four minutes left in the first half for the Ladies final goal of the opening stanza.

It wasn't until about eight minutes into the second half that Hiram found a goal. Alyse Gillentine scored on a free-position shot before teammate Autumn Osgood tallied the next pair of Terrier scores.

Second-half scoring from the Ladies came from Allie McLane (2), Molly Hunt, Jane Symmes, and Michelle Picard.

Goalkeeper Allie Dumas recorded three saves for Kenyon in the victory.
