GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon Ladies basketball team earned a 71-35 win over Earlham College on Sunday at Tomsich Arena boosting their record to 4-1. Once again, Kenyon's offense got contributions from many while its defense limited the Quakers to just 25.9% shooting.
 
Leading the way in the scoring department for Kenyon was 
Bailey Dominguez who tallied a game-high 15 points as she hit half of her shots (6-of-12) including burying three 3-pointers. 
Ifeoma Archimalo added 12 points and a game-high seven rebounds. 
Griffin Tullis and 
Jessica Gerber each added nine while 
Lane Davis and 
Sharon Hull registered eight points each. In all, nine different players scored for Coach 
Suzanne Helfant who attained her 340th career win in Gambier.
 
Coming off their last two games in which Kenyon recorded at least 85 points in consecutive contests for the first time in program history, the team's offense got off on the right foot early.
 
The Ladies were efficient in the first as they got out to a 22-7 lead while shooting 60% (9-of-15) from the field. Six different players scored for Kenyon led by Davis's seven points. On the other side, Earlham hit only three attempts and turned it over nine times.
 
Earlham got the deficit to 11 points (25-14) following a Shania Feathers free throw at the 6:33 mark in the second. But after that, Kenyon closed the period with 14-2 run capped off by a Dominguez three-ball with just under a minute left. That gave Kenyon its biggest lead and halftime score of 39-16.
 
In the third, Kenyon's defense was lights-out. The Ladies scored the first 19 points and went up 56-16 on an Archimalo layup before the Quakers tallied their first points at the 3:11 mark on an Amy Weisner jumper.
 
The Quakers did out-score Kenyon 14-11 in the fourth, however, that didn't matter as Kenyon prevailed 71-35 for its third straight win.
 
Kenyon dominated the paint out-scoring Earlham 38-16 and they converted 28 visitor turnovers into 31 points.
 
Next up for Kenyon is its North Coast Athletic Conference opener on November 30 at Wittenberg University. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
