ADA, Ohio -- The Kenyon women's lacrosse team continued their scorching hot start with their fourth consecutive victory to start the season, defeating Ohio Northern 18-5 on Tuesday. The Ladies have won all four games by at least seven goals and have surpassed 14 goals in each game.

Leading the way in the scoring column for the Ladies was
Kat Englert and
Jane Symmes. Englert finished with seven points, scoring four goals and adding three assists. Symmes, fresh off her North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors, tallied four goals, while recording five ground balls and three draw controls.

Other standouts included
Gia Biaggi with a goal scored and a team-high four draw controls,
Kelley Russell with a goal and three assists and
Allie McLane with a goal and two helpers. In total, 10 Ladies found the back of the cage.

Defensively,
Allie Dumas allowed just three goals and had six saves in her fourth win of the young season.

The Ladies gave up the first goal of the game to Ohio Northern a little over 90 seconds in before coming right back to take control of the contest.

Down 1-0, Kenyon went on a 5-0 run started by Biaggi and capped off by
Mary Grace Detmer. The Ladies took a 9-2 lead into the break.

Second-half action saw the visitors go up double-digits for the first time as Symmes tallied a goal at the 28:12 mark which brought the count to 12-2.

Team statistics tilted greatly in the favor of the Ladies. Kenyon fired off 36 shots in the victory while surrendering just 14. The Ladies forced 17 turnovers, good for a plus-eight margin in that department, while holding a 14-to-9 advantage in draw controls and a 17-to-7 advantage in ground balls. The Ladies were also a perfect 8-for-8 on their clears.

Kenyon will faceoff with two final non-conference opponents from the Ohio Athletic Conference on the road over the next eight days. Kenyon travels to John Carroll University on Saturday March 19 before a match at Capital University on Wednesday, March 23.
