FORT MYERS, Fla. – Kenyon College rolled by Nazareth College and Rockford University on Monday during the Gene Cusic Classic at CenturyLink Sports Complex. GAME ONE
A pair of runs in the second and three more in the third provided Kenyon all the support it needed against the Golden Flyers.
After a scoreless first frame, the Ladies came through with a pair of hits with two outs.
Britny Patterson came to the box and singled to right field scoring
Lindsey Susolik who doubled to start the inning. In the next at-bat, Nicole Horito tripled to left center plating Patterson.
In the third,
Jane Ghublikian socked a two-run homer to left field pushing the Ladies' lead to 4-0. Three batters later, freshman

Amanda Ogata on a groundout moving the score to 5-0.
Kenyon added two more runs in the fifth before the Golden Flyers finally got on the scoreboard. Trailing 7-0, Nazareth got a run-scoring single from Stephanie Mongelli and added another after a wild pitch.
The Ladies' scoring efforts concluded in the sixth with an RBI single from

Pitcher
Austen Whibley earned her first collegiate win as she tossed a complete game, scattered seven hits, allowed four runs and struck out four.
GAME TWO

Additionally, junior pitcher
Sylvie Thomas fanned nine batters, a career high.
Rockford actually had the lead through the first three innings of the game, as they led 3-1 heading to the top of the fourth.
After that, the Ladies' bats came alive.
Kenyon seized the lead at 5-3 with a four-run fourth inning. Susolik led off with a double and
Molly O'Connor followed with a single to put two on base. In the third at-bat of the frame, Pilz connected with a sacrifice fly to center scoring Susolik. Three batters later,
Amanda Coyle smacked an RBI double and Maldonado followed with a single scoring
Mari Colucci and Coyle.
The Kenyon lead ballooned even more in the fifth.  Rockford didn't help its chances either as four runs came across due to errors. Patterson's RBI double to left center scoring Pilz highlighted the Ladies' big inning.
Heading into the final two innings, the Ladies held a 10-5 lead.
Even with a massive advantage, the Kenyon offense didn't slow down. In the sixth, O'Connor doubled down the left-field line scoring Ogata and Patterson had an RBI single.
The Ladies added three more runs in the final inning as Susolik hit her sixth two-bagger of the year clearing the bases and pushing the lead to 15-5.
