On the flip side, the loss was the first conference defeat for Wooster (8-4, 3-1 NCAC).
After spotting Wooster an early 2-1 lead, the Lords composed their first five-goal run of the game and wound up closing out the first quarter with a 7-4 lead. That outburst was kick-started by a
Robert Jacobs goal at the 8:24 mark and ended with a

Alex Lopez,
Pierce Kraft and

The second quarter was similar to the first. Wooster goals knocked the deficit down to 7-5 and then 9-6. With 4:10 left in the half, Kenyon went on another five-goal rampage. Ferraro scored three times in the run, while Kraft and
Josh Galardi fired in one each to drive Kenyon into the break with a 13-6 cushion.
Ferraro opened the second half with another goal and Wooster never got closer than seven the rest of the way. Ferraro led all scorers with five goals and an assist. He continues to possess the team lead, now with 40 points (25 goals, 15 assists) on the season.
Kraft finished with three goals, Galardi had two goals and two assists, Lopez registered two goals and one assist and Jacobs ended up with the one goal and three assists. Additionally, freshman

Another Kenyon freshman,
Will Swain, was nearly unstoppable in the center of the field. He won 23-of-29 faceoffs and scooped up a Kenyon single-game season-high 16 groundballs. Since taking over faceoff duties against DePauw University on March 19, Swain has crafted a .715 win percentage (93-of-130).
Kenyon ended up outshooting Wooster, 55-29. The Lords were 23-of-27 on clears and went 3-for-9 in extra-man opportunities.
Senior goalkeeper
Patrick Shevelson made 13 saves, giving him 131 on the season and vaulting him into Kenyon's top-five list for career saves. Shevelson now has 569 career saves. He surpassed Greg Clancy and Geoff Hazard, who were previously tied for fifth, each with 562 saves.
