COLUMBUS, Ohio – Case Western Reserve University handed the Kenyon College volleyball team its first loss of the season on Saturday during the final day of the Capital/Otterbein Invitational.

Rachael Thorson was named to the All-Tournament team.
Today's match against the Spartans saw the Ladies' offensive attack slowed down for the first time this year. Case limited Kenyon to a .103 attack percentage while connecting on an efficient .269 clip.
Case won the first set 25-17, then followed that up with a 25-15 set-two win and then closed the match in the third with another 25-17 score.
Leading the way for the Ladies was
Delaney Swanson who tallied 11 kills and a match-high 17 digs. Sophomore
Schuyler Stupica added six kills and two block assists while
Jensen Shurbert registered 19 assists. Five others Kenyon players had at least six digs.
Next up for Kenyon is a trip to Wilmington College September 6 for a 7 p.m. match.
Libero Rachael Thorson was named to the Capital/Otterbein All-Tournament Team after her performances the last two days. The junior
totaled 26 kills, a 2.89 average, over the two-day event which saw Kenyon win two of three contests.
