Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Trine University outscored Kenyon College 43-26 in the second half en route to a 79-53 win at Kresge Gymnasium on the campus of Albion College on Friday night. The loss moved Kenyon's early-season record to 0-2. Official post-game files have not yet been made available.
The Thunder had their way inside, outscoring the Lords 38-14 in the paint while also owning the rebounding advantage 47-29. Trine also turned 21 Kenyon turnovers into 22 points.
Alex Cate was the only Lords player to score in double-digits as he tallied 10 points.
Carter Powell added nine points with nine boards while
Matt Shifrin contributed seven points.
As a team, Kenyon struggled, shooting 35.7 percent from the field and 25.7 percent from downtown.
Kenyon will try and get its first win of the season tomorrow when it plays the hosts, Albion, at 3 p.m.
