GAMBIER, Ohio – Kenyon College saw nine of its players score as the team dialed up a 17-4 victory against Otterbein University on Saturday in a women's lacrosse matchup at McBride Field.
The Ladies won for the fifth consecutive time and improved to 6-2 while the Cardinals dropped to 1-6.

Maya Fair tallied a season-best five goals while senior
Lucy Somers registered six total points on three goals and three helpers. There were a total of eight Ladies that registered multiple points, as well.
As a team, Kenyon out-shot the visitors 37-13, held a 33-22 ground balls advantage and converted 13 of 17 clear opportunities.
Early on, the Ladies' offense was sluggish, and that allowed the visitors to attain a 1-0 lead after Abby Smoot picked up a loose ball and fired into the net at 27:25.
Kenyon found the equalizer about three minutes later as newcomer
Brett Bearrows scored on a free-position shot. Despite the goal, the Ladies did have a couple turnovers after that which prompted a timeout from the bench.
After the break, the Ladies got in gear.
From just under the 18-minute mark of the half, Kenyon scored nine unanswered.
Avery Morgan started the run with a goal from
Maggie Grabowski at 17:47. Fair then added three of her own after that, as the Ladies built a 10-1 halftime advantage.
Within the first nine minutes of the second half, Kenyon scored four more to invoke the running clock. By the 21:45 mark, the Ladies were up 14-1 after Fair scored on a pass from Somers.
Over the remainder of the game, Otterbein never pulled to within 10 goals.
Defensively, Kenyon did a good job limiting possession for the Cardinals. For the fourth-straight affair, Kenyon attained double-digit caused turnovers and forced the visitors to an 8-of-21 clears mark. In goal,
Carina Barnes notched five saves.
In a week, the Ladies will host Ohio Wesleyan University at 4:30 p.m. for their North Coast Athletic Conference opener.
