GAMBIER, Ohio – Adrian College made its shots count during a 2-0 win against Kenyon College on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference women's soccer match at Mavec Field.
The Bulldogs remained unbeaten this season (2-0-1) while the Ladies dipped to 1-2.
During the first 16 minutes of action, the Ladies had some looks, including four attempts from senior
Fallon Raviol. However, their shots came from well outside the 18-yard box and only one was on target.
On the flipside for Adrian, it scattered three shots on target in the first ten minutes but Ladies freshman
Erika Freiberg denied all three. The Bulldogs' fourth shot, though, rang true.
A corner from the left side by Angela Davis was headed up by Mya Oleksiak and then followed by another header from McKenna Mahoney. That came at 24:49 and for the rest of the half, Kenyon didn't threaten.
In the second stanza, Kenyon was able to get a pair of shots on goal form Raviol and
Kiele Anderson but could not find the back of the net. Adrian then added one more goal at 68:01 as Oleksiak sent a through ball to Eve Davis who finished along the left side.
Tomorrow, the Ladies will host Carnegie Mellon University at 1 p.m.
