Lords dominate dual with Denison

RESULTS

GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Kenyon College men's swimming and diving team defeated Denison University, 208.5-91.5, Saturday afternoon. The Lords won all but one event in the dual.

Multiple Kenyon swimmers walked away with victories as Yurii Kosian led the way. Kosian swept the backstroke events with a 50.36 in the 100-yard and a 1:51.27 in the 200-yard. He also teamed up with Luis Weekes, Marcus Hong and David Fitch to win the 200-yard medley relay (1:31.03). Later, Kosian joined Liam Sweeney, Joe Black, and Aleksa Dobric to take the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:03.62).

In the 100-yard butterfly, David Fitch swam an NCAA 'B' cut time of 48.74 to win the event. Fitch also won the 50-yard freestyle in 20.62.

Colin Bowling and Bryan Fitzgerald joined Fitch in winning two individual events, while Weekes, Philip Howard and Aleksa Dobric each collected one win in individual events.

Israel Zavaleta won both the diving events by more than 50 points with his score of 334.35 in the one-meter competition and 342.98 in the three-meter.

The Lords swimmers return to the pool on November 18 during the Kenyon Total Performance Invitational, while the divers will compete at The Ohio State University Invitational.
