WOOSTER, Ohio – Kenyon College (3-0, 2-0 NCAC) outscored The College of Wooster (4-3, 4-2 NCAC) 9-3 in the second half en route to a 15-7 North Coast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse victory on Saturday at John P. Papp Stadium.
Joe Boesel once again led the Lords' attack. He scored a game-high four goals and added three assists. In the two matchups with the Fighting Scots this week, the sophomore accumulated nine goals and five assists.

Weston Powell contributed with a pair of goals and game-high four assists while junior
Declan Curry chipped in with three scores. In the face-off circle,
Reed Russell notched 16 wins with seven ground balls while
Ollie Martin also collected seven ground balls, a game-best.
As a team, Kenyon held a plus-seven shots on goal advantage (26-19) and a plus-14 ground balls lead (33-19).
Within the first five minutes of action, Kenyon had attained a 2-0 lead on goals from Curry and Powell. However, the home squad found themselves up after first-quarter action, 4-3, as four different players scored, the last coming to Ben Kennedy.
Trailing by one, the Lords really turned up the defensive pressure in the second period. Kenyon forced Wooster into seven turnovers and allowed just one shot to the Fighting Scots. In that span,
Mike Matteo tied the game up at 4-4 with 4:56 left before back-to-back goals from
Mike Asuncion pushed Kenyon ahead 6-4.
After the break, Wooster's Ben Byers scored on a man-up opportunity at 8:43, inching the Fighting Scots to within one, 6-5. That goal would be the closest Wooster got the rest of the way. Kenyon responded with three-straight scores, including two by Boesel, and heading into the fourth, led 9-6.
Kenyon then blew the game wide open in the final period. Goalie
David Metzger allowed just one goal in the fourth and notched six saves while the Lords' offense closed the contest in style.
Ethan Dewbrey started a 6-0 run at 9:27 and the Lords got five more goals from Martin, Curry, Powell and Boesel.
Next on the schedule for the Lords is Senior Day on April 21 against Allegheny College at 4 p.m. at the Field at Benson Bowl.
