The Department of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation is thrilled to announce the launch of the Kenyon Athletics Network (KAN) — a new opportunity for alumni, parents and friends to connect, share past experiences, and receive relevant and timely Athletics information from coaches and administrators.
"We have heard from alumni about their desire to remain involved and to support the current teams," said Justin Newell, Kenyon's Associate Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation. "Each athlete who played for Kenyon has a unique story, and we hope to create an opportunity to tell those stories. KAN will be a connection point back to their time on the Hill and will offer communication about legacy for future student-athletes to follow."
With collaboration from both Advancement and Alumni and Parent Engagement, KAN aims to make connections through attendance at games, career development mentoring programs, recruiting events, as well as special social events both on and off campus.
KAN members will receive updates from coaches, reunion notifications, alerts regarding Kenyon teams in their area and those advancing in the postseason. Members will also receive reports about the Kenyon Athletics Hall of Fame, Homecoming and important departmental developments, as well as gain access to national events hosted by Alumni and Parent Engagement.
Jill McCartney, Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation said "We are excited about getting this initiative underway. We will continue to support current engagement efforts while also growing opportunities for connection. We hope that through KAN, alums, parents and friends will find ways to extend their Kenyon experiences."
