Eisenbeis takes home NCAC weekly award

Kenyon senior and eight-time All-American Gwen Eisenbeis was named the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week after leading the Owls to a dominant performance in their conference opener against John Carroll University.

Eisenbeis helped Kenyon open the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, swimming the leadoff backstroke leg to set the tone for a first-place finish. The Owls "A" relay team, which also featured Kelsey Van Eldik, Maggie Grespin, and Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault, clocking a winning time of 1:42.39.

Later in the meet, Eisenbeis continued to impress in individual events, capturing the title in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.88 seconds. Her performance led a 1-2-3-4 sweep for Kenyon in the sprint event and established the Owls' dominance throughout the competition.

The Owls will take some time off before returning to action on Friday, November 7th, for a duel meet against Ohio Wesleyan University.
