GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College women's basketball team is set to open the 2025-2026 season with renewed energy and focus under head coach
Mary Corbett, who enters her fourth year leading the program. With a strong returning core and a plethora of fresh faces ready to contribute, the Owls aim to take strides forward in the new campaign following a challenging but developmental 2024-2025 season.
2024 Review
- 2-22 overall record, 1-11 at home, 1-11 away, and 0-1 at neutral sites
- 0-14 record in conference matchups, finishing eighth in the conference standings. Ohio Wesleyan took the crown with a record of 14-0, followed by DePauw University (12-2) and Wittenberg University (8-6).
- Secured seventh seed in NCAC Tournament, knocked out by Wittenberg University.

Head Coach
Mary Corbett, hired in 2022, continues to guide the program's growth entering year four. Assistant Coach
Jake Bonofiglio returns to the sideline, bringing an analytical approach and a focus on structured offensive sets and defensive schemes to elevate the Owls' play on both ends of the floor.
NCAC Polls
In this year's NCAC preseason poll, the Owls were picked eighth with 11 points. Defending champion DePauw University topped the list with 58 points and five first-place votes, followed closely by Denison University (53 points, three first-place votes) and new conference member John Carroll University (52 points). Wittenberg (38) and Ohio Wesleyan (35) round out the top five, with Oberlin (27), Wooster (14), and Kenyon completing the table.
Returning All-Conference Honorees
Sophomore Alyssa Horsley returns for her second year having earned All-NCAC Third Team honors. She was one of just two conference newcomers to earn a spot and she is the first Kenyon first-year to earn such accolade since Maureen Hirt in 2010. Horsley averaged 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game with a shooting split of .378/.181/.774, while starting all 24 contests. She also led the team in minutes, showcasing consistency and durability.
Returning Statistical Leaders
Sophomore
Kiana Mollabashy returns as the team's top three-point shooter, draining 40 triples last season. The Dallas native averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, giving the Owls a reliable perimeter threat. Fellow classmate
Susannah Zimmerman looks to continue her upward trajectory after a strong first-year. Another reliable guard option for the Owls, Zimmerman appeared in 22 games and earned ten starts, averaging 5.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting .294/.122/.733. Anissa Hardy is expected to play a key role after an injury-shortened season. The California native is a strong interior presence with career averages of 6.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 44% shooting from the field, providing leadership and experience to a frontcourt looking to make its mark.
