Owls land 165 on NCAC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll

CLEVELAND -- A record total of 1,341 student-athletes have been named to the 2024-25 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll following the completion of the academic year. Included in that total were 165 student-athletes from Kenyon College.

The honorees were selected from all nine full-time NCAC institutions and four affiliate members. Each full-time institution had at least 70 student-athletes named to the honor roll with an average of 146 student-athletes per school.

To be honored, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore on an active roster in a sport sponsored by the conference and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Eligible honorees are submitted by each school.

The 1,341 student-athletes on the list accounted for 1,487 total roster spots, which takes into consideration multi-sport student-athletes.

Women's track and field led the way for the tenth time out of the 12 years the honor roll has been released with 128 honorees, while football posted the second-highest total for the seventh time with 111 student-athletes. Baseball was represented by 108 student-athletes for the third most, which placed the sport in the top five for the fifth-consecutive year. Women's swimming and diving collected the fourth most honorees with 105 to earn a spot in the top five for the second-consecutive season, while men's track and field rounded out the top five with 101 student-athletes on the list to make its 11th appearance in the top five.

The 2024-25 NCAC Dr. Gordon Collins Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll class features 12 graduate students, 430 seniors, 432 juniors and 467 sophomores.
