Kenyon sends trio to run at OWU Invite

POWELL, Ohio -- The Kenyon College women's cross country team sent three runners to compete in Friday evening's Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational, held at Liberty Park.

That Kenyon trio was led by junior Cassidy Kaler, who took 86th place among the race's 134 runners. She cleared the 6K course in a time of 26:22.9.

The other two Kenyon runners, first-year Corinne Elmore and sophomore Turner Clark, placed 97th and 101st, respectively. Elmore crossed the line at 27:01.0 and Clark finished in 27:17.2.

Because Kenyon had just three runners and not the minimum of five to score team points, the Owls did not appear in the Invitational's final standings. At the top of those standing was host Ohio Wesleyan, which chalked up a first-place total of 23 points. Baldwin Wallace University was second with 83 points and Ohio Northern University scored 84 points to place third in the 12-team field.
