NCAA draws set for Owls' singles, doubles matches

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The NCAA released the draws and match times for the 2026 Division III Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships, setting the flight path for the Owls in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with Sewanne: The University Of The South serving as host.

Senior Eleni Lazaridou will open singles play on Friday, May 22, at 9:00 a.m. against Emory University's Izabele Antanavicius. The opening-round matchup is scheduled for Court 9 and Lazaridou enters the bracket ranked No. 37 nationally with a 19-6 overall record, while Antanavicius comes in ranked No. 11 in the nation.

A four-time All-NCAC First Team representative, Lazaridou has led the Owls from the No. 1 singles spot throughout the season, anchoring the top of Kenyon's lineup against a demanding schedule. Should Lazaridou advance, she would move into Friday's Round of 16 at 1:00 p.m. and face the winner of Matia Cristiani of Babson and Katalina Wang of Case Western Reserve. Cristiani is the No. 1-ranked singles player in the nation, while Wang is ranked No. 46.

Kenyon's doubles pairing of Lazaridou and Hana Nouaime will begin play later Friday at 3:00 p.m. against Washington University in St. Louis' Eleanor Archer and Caitlin Bui, the No. 3 seed in the doubles bracket. Lazaridou and Nouaime enter the championship ranked No. 9 nationally with a 19-7 overall record. The tandem has been Kenyon's steady force at the top of the doubles lineup, going 15-5 in dual matches, 4-0 in NCAC play, and 8-2 over its last 10 contests, while carrying a seven-match winning streak into the tournament.

The No. 9 national ranking also marks a jump from where Lazaridou and Nouaime stood at this point last season, when the duo was ranked No. 25 nationally. Now inside the top 10, the pair will look to keep that climb going on the national stage.

The winner of Kenyon's opening doubles match will advance to Saturday's quarterfinal round, which is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Singles quarterfinals are set for Saturday at 11:00 a.m., with singles semifinals and the final scheduled for Sunday, May 24. Doubles semifinals will be played Sunday at 1:00 p.m., while the doubles championship match is set for Monday, May 25, at noon.
