ABOUT THE LOWRY CENTER
Kenyon is home to one of the most exciting athletic centers of any small college in the country. Spacious, welcoming, architecturally stunning, and equipped with top-flight facilities, the Kenyon Athletic Center opened in January 2006. Soaring glass walls, arching steel trusses, and sleek lines make for a dramatic design. Open views and abundant natural light throughout the building promote the friendly interactions that shape Kenyon's spirit of community.

In 2020, the Kenyon Athletic Center was renamed the Lowry Center to honor William E. Lowry Jr. '56 H'99, a three-sport Kenyon athlete.

The building features the 200-meter Barrett A. Toan Indoor Track, an Olympic-sized pool within the Lowry Center, the 1,600-seat Tomsich Arena for basketball and volleyball, the stunning 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art Patterson Fitness Center that houses over 200 pieces of exercise equipment, and the 120-seat Beulah Kahler Theater for game film review and team meetings.

In addition to the previously mentioned sections, the Lowry Center also holds ample room for racquetball and squash courts, multipurpose rooms for dance, yoga, and aerobics, several study lounges, a Multi-Activity Court for recreational use, four conference rooms, a café, and substantial locker room space.
