A graduate of the State University of New York College at Cortland, Brenda Semit enters her third season as an assistant coach with the Kenyon field hockey program. Over the last two seasons, she has helped the Ladies improve each year in wins, including a runner-up finish in the NCAC Tournament in 2013. As a team, the Red Dragons won three conference championships , twice advanced to the Elite Eight in the national tournament, and were ranked as high as No. 5 in the country with Semit on the field.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in physical education in the spring of 2011, Semit remained with SUNY Cortland as a volunteer assistant coach for the 2011 season. She has also been a regular on staff at the Red Dragons’ field hockey camp since 2008.
