Ken Delgado

With the addition of Ken Delgado to the Kenyon College football coaching staff, the Owls program gains the knowledge and experience of an assistant coach who's worked across many levels of football, including the National Football League (NFL).

Delgado was originally hired at Kenyon in 2021 and served as the Owls defensive line coach and special teams coordinator. He arrived on campus after working as a defensive line assistant with the Cleveland Browns from 2016 to 2018. During the 2022 and 2023 seasons, Delgado worked as a defensive line coach under Hue Jackson at Grambling State University.

With his return to Kenyon in the summer of 2024, Delgado now serves as the Owls' defensive coordinator.

Prior to his time at Kenyon and in the NFL, Delgado amassed more than 25 years of coaching, mainly at NCAA Division I institutions. He spent time as a defensive line coach at Western Kentucky University, Eastern Michigan University, University of Louisville, University of Utah and his alma mater San Jose State University.

From 1994 through 2001, Delgado was the defensive coordinator at San Diego State University. Following that stint, he moved on to the University of California, where he took on duties as both defensive line coach and assistant head coach for five seasons.

Delgado has been involved in 14 bowl games during his coaching career and he's helped develop 11 players, including three first-round picks and two All-Pros, who went on to play in the NFL.

He is a 1987 graduate of San Jose State, where earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.
